Slab Separation Lift

In this project case study located in Tom's River, Ocean County, NJ, Hale Built elevates homes - and expectations. Aiming to protect and upgrade a home needing elevation, Hale Built employs the slab separation lift - raising not just floors, but entire walls.

Traditional methods of home elevation can pose challenges for homes that feature a slab as their first floor. Many homeowners fear that an inability to elevate the floors means no other lifting options are available. This is often viewed as a daunting task, involving significant upheaval and potential damage.
Hale Built ingeniously tackled this predicament using the slab separation lift technique. By disconnecting the exterior and interior walls from the existing concrete floor, and after some necessary drywall removal, the team installed interior wood ledgers to stabilize the structure. The existing home was elevated by its very walls. Following the successful and stabilizing elevation, a new foundation and floor-system was inserted, effectively securing and updating the home.
The walls were then securely returned to their original position - now sitting on a robust new foundation. While some interior renovation was required, this process enabled homeowners to protect and upgrade their property without completely rebuilding. Thus, they offered a perfect method of merging structural protection with vital home enhancements.
