In Long Branch, New Jersey, a coastal home had experienced significant settling, dropping over 5 inches. This issue posed serious risks to the home's structural integrity and safety. The original piling foundation was no longer adequate to support the building, necessitating a comprehensive assessment and a robust solution to stabilize the structure and meet flood plain requirements.
Hale Built Group's engineering team quickly initiated emergency shoring measures to stabilize the home and prevent further damage. After leveling the house, the team removed the failing piling foundation and installed 38 Helical Piles to provide a firm and durable foundation. All new footings were poured on three sides of the home. The project faced challenges such as the need for dewatering and meticulous masonry work due to the house being extensively wrapped in decking and requiring only four courses of new CMU block.

The replacement of the masonry foundation was completed with precision, enhancing the home's stability and longevity. This critical intervention not only restored the home to its original condition but also improved its resilience against future environmental stresses. The professional execution of the project ensured minimal disruption, and the home now stands safely and securely on its new foundation, compliant with local flood plain regulations.
