Mini Pile Foundation Support for In‑Ground Pool

When a new in‑ground pool required dependable below‑grade support in Yardley, PA, Hale Built Group installed deep‑driven mini piles and timber lagging to create a rock‑solid foundation designed for long‑term performance.

This site presented challenging soil conditions with shale and bedrock at depth, making traditional shallow support methods unreliable for the long-term loads of a pool structure. To ensure the pool would remain level and structurally sound, a deep foundation solution was necessary—one that could transfer loads safely into competent material while also supporting the excavation during construction.
Hale Built Group mobilized to install (10) steel mini piles, each driven approximately 10 feet into shale/bedrock to achieve maximum load capacity. Every pile was reinforced with centered rebar and fully pressure-grouted, creating a durable and permanent foundation system. In addition to the piles, our crew installed 45 linear feet of pressure-treated timber lagging to stabilize the excavation area. This ensured safe working conditions while maintaining the integrity of the surrounding soil throughout construction.
With the mini piles locked into bedrock and the excavation fully supported, the site was left with a dependable foundation ready for pool construction. The combination of deep load transfer and reinforced support ensures this pool is built to perform for decades. This Yardley, PA project highlights how the right foundation solution below grade makes all the difference above it.
