20' Deep H-Pile Project

For this local dry cleaner near Schlegel Lake, we dug 10 feet down, driving H-piles 20 feet deep and adding a secure lagging wall to keep everything stable and safe. Despite the site challenges, we kept truck traffic moving and finished right on time—leaving our client thrilled with the results.

Before starting this project, the site posed significant challenges due to its proximity to Schlegel Lake and the need to support the structural integrity of a nearby dry cleaner’s foundation. With excavation reaching nearly 10 feet below grade, any missteps could have led to soil instability and risks to surrounding structures. Maintaining safe access for truck traffic on-site added another layer of complexity, making it essential to carefully plan and execute a secure excavation strategy.
Throughout the project, Hale Built installed soldier piers, H-piles driven 20 feet deep, and a lagging wall with tiebacks to create a stable foundation for the 10-foot excavation. This approach ensured both the safety of the excavation site and allowed for continuous truck traffic to keep the project on schedule. By reinforcing the excavation with these strategic supports, we created a safe and efficient work area, even with the added challenge of working right next to a body of water.
Upon completion, the excavation met all structural and safety requirements, allowing the client to proceed confidently with their foundation project. We completed the project on time and with the client’s full satisfaction, providing a safe, reinforced space for future construction needs. The dry cleaner can now move forward without concerns of foundation instability, and Hale Built has once again demonstrated its commitment to precision, safety, and client success.
